Session 4: Financial Projections uses exercises to help you better understand financial concepts. This session reviews sales and prices, financial risks and rewards, true start-up costs, ongoing operating expenses, setting benchmarks for tracking progress and the organization of all your financial information. Using a hands-on approach, you learn how to use our financial model to forecast sales revenue and build solid pro-forma financial forecasts.
Our speaker, John Heston, worked for the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), the federal agency that administers Defense Department contracts after they are awarded, primarily working with manufacturing contractors.. While working for DCMA, he served as a supervisor, a mid-level manager, and a member of DCMA Headquarters policy staff. He is experienced with strategic planning, budgeting, personnel management, and other management responsibilities. He also served as a volunteer leader with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and as a Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Examiner for The Partnership for Excellence, a regional Baldrige organization covering Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana.
