Session 3: Marketing Plan. The third workshop provides you with an introduction to marketing communication methods and tools to maximize your customer reach. The discussion in the Marketing Plan workshop covers pricing strategies, positioning, the difference between features and benefits, and different marketing strategies. At the end of this session, you will know how to: outline your marketing strategy, test your marketing message, choose the right sales channel, and exercise your marketing strategy.
Our speakers are two senior SCORE mentors. John Sonnhalther is Chair of the Marketing Committee. He established the area's leading business-to-tradesmen marketing communications firm, serving companies that target the professional tradesman in construction, industrial and MRO markets. Sonnhalter's slogan was “Not Afraid To Get Our Hands Dirty.” The line promotes the employees’ willingness to roll up their sleeves and dig deep into clients’businesses, and it also refers to the market targeted: the professional tradesmen who work with –and dirty – their hands every day. Robert Cohen is Co-Chair of the Cleveland SCORE chapter. His experience includes strategic business development, incorporating use of CRM systems, internal /external communications strategies, supporting of field, regional and corporate infrastructures as well as creating sales presentation materials for new account growth.
