Laura Licursi founded Elite Virtual Assistants in 2015. The company provides administrative, technical, and marketing services to small businesses. Elite Virtual Assistants was profoundly impacted by COVID-19. However, Ms. Licursi turned to SBA resource partners SCORE, the ECDI Women’s Business Center of Northern Ohio, Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) and Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTACs) for counseling and assistance that helped her weather the pandemic storm. In addition, Elite Virtual Assistants received SBA-administered Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and an SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL). As a result, Elite Virtual Assistants emerged from the pandemic with robust two-year growth and 50 plus employees. Ms. Licursi gives back to her community by volunteering for area charities and professional organizations. She also has led national and local SCORE webinars, teaches workshops for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and authors blogs promoting women’s entrepreneurship. Mr. Mark Krosse, Certified SCORE Mentor, nominated Ms. Licursi for the award.
